"Young Woman With Her Letter Closing It With Wax, Circa 1707 Jb Santerre (workshop)"
Superb portrait of a young woman in elegant home dress with the reflections of a silky velvet at her writing table, having finished her letter she seals it with wax; if her face is turned towards the eyes she is completely enveloped in a soft, almost golden light coming from a high candlestick fitted with a reflector which illuminates her bust, her soft face, the neckline surrounded by fine lace, her perfect hands with a nuanced complexion highlighting the right hand pressing the wax seal and the other holding the folded mail.Portrait of this young woman in very beautiful indoor attire known to be dated around 1707 by JB Santerre (workshop).
