"Impressive Fireplace, Ca. 1775, Carrara Marble"
Monumental Chimney-piece, late 18th century. Dramatically sculpted in veined Arabescato marble. The important frieze is slightly more Baroque in character. The serpentine shelf rest above the undulating frieze, which is centered by a Rococo shell. The beautiful ends are supported by flamboyant panneled jambs, profoundly adorned by sinious foliate carvings.
