Louis XVI Fireplace, Dated 1881

Magnificent Louis XVI fireplace-surround, made out of the Saint Anna and Carrara marbles.   Finly carved foliate Ivy vines, all common to the period, late 19th century. This elegant fireplace-surround stood from 1881 till the moment we bought, in an important Brussels Maison Maitre. The Saint Anna marble is an Belgian marble, the quarry is since many years empty now. The Italian Carrara marble was selected for the whitest white, named  Statué.               A perfect match !  Note: Photo's are taken before dismantling, fireplace is now cleaned in my workshop.   All our fireplaces will be delivered with original old marble floortiles, to make a frontfloor.
