Napoleon III fireplace in Noir de Mazy and Incarnat Turquin-Rouge, marbles from the Languedoc, France. Ca.1860-1875. This pleasent fireplace was found in Belgium, the country where you could find the blackest black marble that excist: Noir de Mazy. This quarry is empty since many years. The rounded, double moulded shelf rest above a linteau, enhanced by façet lozenges in striking red marble. The combination of these two marbles gives great vivid and movements.
