Changer Scale Of 1700
We present today this very interesting little money changer scale in its rectangular walnut box. The specificity of this scale is that it dates back to 1700, the first year of the 18th century, it is 322 years old (incredible) and in a more than perfect state of preservation. What's more, it is signed Nicolas RAYBAY at the corner of Goinette Lyon 1700. The weights contained inside are all trapezoidal in shape and are stamped with Templar crosses (four), two other emblazoned, three with different markings more five brass slats serving as a counterweight in a closed location.
