Oil Painting On Copper
We present this interesting painting painted on a copper plate, depicting a scene of surgery and possibly a tooth-puller. An animated interior scene of five figures plus one looking through a crack in a communicating door. This painting bears a monogram at the bottom right; this painting could be from the 17th century or a later rework. David Teniers the Younger created works in this spirit. The frame is old and needs to be renovated, sold as is.
