"Inkwell Signed Cain "
We present this superb bronze inkwell with two sparrows with a prestigious 19th century signature CAIN. These two sparrows surmount a double cup with an inkwell in its center. Auguste Nicolas CAIN is a French sculptor born on November 10, 1821 and died on August 6, 1894 at the age of 73. He was a student of François RUDE and followed the classes of Antoine Louis BARYE.
