Unique Item, Presence Ivory Token Jules Mallet, Northern Railways, 19thc

In a circular turned ivory case, purple silk velvet inside, is a very nice token, ivory turned, carved, engraved and inked. This is a presence token of board of directors of the Northern Railway Company. On its face, is engraved: "CHEMIN DE FER DU NORD, MR JULES MALLET, Administrateur" and a star. The reverse, meanwhile, is engraved with a crowned coat of arms (to the Arms of France and Belgium ?? .. my knowledge is limited) and a locomotive, enhanced with black too. The outline of the token is carved with a pattern of wrapping circles.

Louis-Jules Mallet, 1789-1866, husband of Emilie Oberkampf, co-founder of the Northern Railway, with James Rotschild among others .. This token, unique item, is a real historical document, from a great period of the 19thC. We can find in the BnF archives the token of presence of Lionel Rotschild ...

French working, probably dating from 1845, or  earlier, to specify ..
The token is in excellent condition, few wear, unfortunately the case that contains it is broken on his turn .. well indicated.
