Small Miniature, High Quality, Portrait Of A Woman, Ernest (joseph Angelon) Girard, 19th Century

Very pretty little miniature, oval format, painted on a natural material plate. It is presented in a rectangular frame in blackened wood, circle in gilded brass. It is well signed on the left side, Ernest Girard and dated 1877. Ernest Joseph Angelon Girard (1813-1897) was a student of Isabey and Ingres, among others. On the back, brass wall mounting ring.
Very good general condition, no break or flaw, note all the same, that the miniature is a little smaller than the frame and its gilded brass surround, glass a little dirty, nothing serious!
French working, dating from the second half of the 19th century, well dated 1877.
