Important Carved Bamboo Brush Pot, Bitong, High Relief, Canton China 19thc

In a large cylindrical format, this is a very fine brush pot, a scholar's item. Made from a large section of bamboo, it is finely carved in high relief, in stylized cartouches of different shapes and sizes. The main one includes 11 figures in a pagoda and willow pattern, bordered by pierced rocks and a frieze of stylized flowers. 2 other cartouches feature figures in high relief, probably romantic scenes. The other 3 feature deer, Phoenix and an Auntie mask. Very nice quality, nice size, genuine item and rare to find.
Good overall condition. Despite a few usual small cracks, it has 3 more important but not through ones that I still indicated on my photos. Please look at them carefully, I'm not hiding anything!
Chinese working, most probably Canton, dating from the second part of the 19th century, Circa 1850-1880.
Dimensions: 17.5cm H x 13.5cm Diameter x 1.5cm thickness.
