Pair Of Candelabra In Patinated And Gilded Bronze Empire Period

Pair of candelabras in patinated and gilded bronze from the Empire period depicting Egyptian women, arms crossed, adorned with an aesthetically draped dress and the wig associated with the Nemes. They are topped with a five-burner foliage bouquet with finely chiseled flowers. They rest on a pedestal decorated on three sides with palm leaves and stylized characters. Work from the early 19th century. Bibliography: In the hour, the fire, the light. The bronzes of the Mobilier National (1800-1870) by Marie-France Dupuy-Baylet, a model with some similarities appears on pages 144-145.
