Louis XIV Period Boulle Marquetry Mirror
A Louis XIV period Boulle marquetry dressing mirror with inlays of red tortoiseshell, a mark of quality, and brass. The decoration, featuring scrolling foliage and acanthus leaves, is set within shaped moldings of chased bronze. The rosewood veneer back has a stand for placing the mirror on a table, as well as a hanging ring at the top. Mercury glass mirror. Boulle marquetry work in very fine condition.
