Pair Of Candlesticks In Gilt Bronze Louis XVI Period
Pair of Louis XVI period candlesticks in chiseled and gilded bronze. The barrels erected in a column are highlighted with grooves decorated with asparagus, a laurel garland punctuated by medallions surrounded by pearls topped with a knot and ends with a frieze of water leaves. They support antique vases forming a bin decorated with gadroons and foliage. The whole rests on circular bases with wide grooves and gadroons. Beautiful state of conservation of the gilding
