Bronze

Important Bronze subject with golden patina representing a walking tiger, signed on the terrace by the French sculptor Christophe FRATIN (1801/1864), who was one of the first to practice the animal style, very trendy in the middle of the 19th century. This former student of Géricault, son of a taxidermist, is known for the finesse and realism of these creations. The artist chose here as a model the largest of the felines, which seems to stroll peacefully. We guess his striped coat, suggested by the artist, and the strength of his powerful muscles. The terrace, also in bronze, subtly represents the vegetation on which it advances. With striking realism, this work will seduce lovers of animal art, and will mark your decoration with its presence.
