Magnificent 18th Century Fruitwood Serpentine Commode
An 18th-century French Louis XV Epoque serpentine-fronted fruitwood commode chest of four drawers, standing on elegantly carved feet. Distributed over three rows, each moulded drawer is ornately decorated with gilt bronze handles and escutcheons. While there has been some restoration to two of the drawer fronts and the wooden tray, the commode has retained its original, pleasing patina.
