The composition depicting the bridge of the beguinage in Bruges, with the spire of the Church of Our Lady in the background. ''Native of Auxerre, René Bondenet took part in the Salon des Indépendantes in 1931-1932''. (in Bénézit). Bénézit II, Dictionary of painters, p. 145. Tiny superficial alterations affecting the canvas. Which also has small bumps of material in the lower margin. Otherwise, good condition.
