CABANES (Louis-François). [Oil on panel:] Port of Concarneau. Dimensions: 323 x 229 mm - Frame: 492 x 400 mm. Pretty oil on panel signed lower right margin Louis Cabanes. Titled and signed in pencil on the reverse. Louis-François Cabanes, a native of Toulouse in 1867, was a pupil of Laurens and L. Glaize. He started at the Salon des Artistes français in 1894 and won several medals. In 1906 he participated in the Colonial Exhibition in Paris and at the Brussels Exhibition in 1910.
