Antependium or altar facing for a private chapel, early 18th century convent work decorated with flowers surrounding the central part of the IHS monogram stamped with a marquis's crown. Bears an inscription: "Prie Dieu pour Philiberte et Françoise Marie de Carbonnet 1726" This ornament is inspired by a hymn which reminds us that it is in a garden with rare essences, planted with fragrant flowers and delicious fruits, that the games of mystical love, because the soul is a garden.
