Knitting Or Weaving Machine, France 19th Century
Unfortunately, we do not know the real designation of this very old machine. However, it could be a historical knitting machine producing silk fabric, as the bobbins are all filled with silk of different colours. The machine was purchased about 20 years ago from a tailor's estate in the south of France and was part of a private collection for a long time. As the construction is entirely made of wood, it probably dates from the 19th century. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or to send us photos.
