"Pair Of Vases, Satsuma, Japan, Meiji Era (1868-1912)"
A pair of hand painted vases from Satsuma pottery. The Japanese artist depicted scenes of samurai surrounded by a varied landscape and a woman with a golden crown on a dragon. It is quite possible that the reliefs tell a story from Japanese folklore or mythology. Extremely well painted figures, especially the different facial expressions. Satsuma, Japan, Meiji era (1868-1912) Height 24.5 cm, diameter 15 cm. Very good condition as can be seen in the photos. Free delivery in EU. ! I send parcels by insured courier (DPD or DHL).
