Beautiful oil on cardboard representing the great beaches between Royan and La Palmyre in Charente Maritime, painting signed on the back JGPasquet and localized. A native of Périgueux, Jean Georges Pasquet (1851-1936) was a pupil of Boulanger, Jules Lefèvre, and Benjamin Constant. Subsequently, he became a professor at the drawing school of Périgueux. A classical painter of landscapes, he had integrated into his works the lessons of the Impressionist; he had a fairly large production. Certainly he set up his easel in his hometown and the Périgord countryside, but also on the Atlantic coast, the Landes, the Basque Country Oil on cardboard in very good condition, cleaned and revarnished.
