Elegant suite of six chairs in mahogany and mahogany veneer. They have saber feet and headbands sculpted with scrolls in lyres and palmettes. Seats upholstered with floral-themed embroidery. Restoration period. Using mahogany with large smooth surfaces, devoid of carvings, with the only ornaments carved headbands with sober decorations of ancient and Etruscan inspiration as well as their saber legs, these chairs are a perfect illustration of the important echoes of the period between the arts English and French ornaments. Thus they almost merge with the equivalent models of English Regency style.
