Superb ceremonial piece, massive: 3.8 kg, diameter: 51 cm, a large plate in the shape of a dish taking up the technique and appearance of the Majolica from Nevers end of 16th century, with a subject that excites all hunters: the legend of St. Hubert, Patron Saint of hunters with the divine deer.
Signed on back: Noeud vert, and F. ALBUS, Nevers, factory of François Leblanc. It is possible that this ceremonial piece coincides with the purchase of the factory in 1860...
