Georges Fréset (1894-1975) is a naturalist painter, landscaper, engraver and illustrator. He was born in Bourbonnes-les-bains, began painting in 1919 and presented his first works during an exhibition of Franc and Comtois painters in Luxeuil-les-bains, then in Belfort and Langres. In 1928, he became a member of the Salon of French Artists and exhibited at the 1937 Universal Exhibition in Paris. begins to paint landscapes of vegetation at ground level in close-up as he saw them as a child. He will exhibit in Paris Salle Gaveau and in several galleries in Paris and in Switzerland in Bern and Geneva. Claude-Roger Marx art and obtained a certain fame. He sold several works to national and regional museums.
