Jean Marais (1913-1998) was an actor, comedian, director, writer, painter, sculptor, potter. He began his ceramics studies in Cabris in the early 1970s, trained in throwing in Vallauris, opened his first gallery there in 1975, then created his workshop there in 1980, this workshop remained active for 15 years.
