"Old Basin, Middle East Chiseled With Three Cartridges And Three Mandorlas, 19th Century"
basin originating from the Middle East in copper engraved and decorated on all sides with three mandorlas decorated with stars and each surrounded by four botehs, and three domed cartridges bearing beautiful and large calligraphy remarkably executed.
Important very fine epigraphic decorations are chiseled in the bands.
The set is in very good Middle Eastern condition from the 19th century. Syria, Persia.
Dimensions: Diameter: 28 cm, Diameter at the neck: 19 cm, Height: 19.5 cm cm, weight: 927 grams.
