"Inlaid Secretary, Louis XVI, Circa 1780"
A unique secretary, inlaid in a very interesting way. The furniture is signed in several places, the signatures can be seen in the photos Sensational inlays, in different thicknesses. The upper door has a movable roll-up structure. It has thick, hand-cut veneers. Two drawers have lockable compartments, one has an inkwell and there is also a valuables locker behind one of the drawers. The drawers are probably secondary, mentioned in the 19th century. It is a unique piece of furniture by its age and its know-how. Oak wood veneered with exotic and European fruit species. The top is broken into two parts. Louis XVI / Classicism, circa 1780.
