Veramin Rug (iran)
Carpet Veramin (Iran) in Wool of dimensions 3.00 x 2.00 meters. The mina-khani motif develops all around the field of the carpet. Véramin, located about a hundred kilometers south-east of Tehran, produces rugs of a higher quality than those in the capital. These models are particularly noteworthy for the use of the floral motif: mina khani (four flowers arranged in a rhombus, interpretation of the Kurdish motif herati) repeated many times on the surface of the field. There is also the classic vase of flowers adorned with branches, shrubs and various animals. These very beautiful pieces have a tight knot reaching a density of 500 to 600,000 stitches per m2.
