Fine wool, hand-knotted Kashmar rug in perfect condition circa 1980.
Highland wool on cotton weft is knotted for around 400,000 knots per M2.
This skilful decoration offers us a veritable "eye-catcher" found on antique pieces.

These densely knotted rugs have a cotton warp and bear typically Persian decorations.
The designs, such as medallions, palmettes, arabesques, mir-e-butha motifs, pendants and vases, can only be found on our very elaborate model.

What's special about these rugs is the frequent use of cochineal red or blue-gray, and a wool as soft as it is supple for a velvet of the highest quality.
At the end of their creation these carpets are treated with lanolin, which gives them a sheen close to the lights of silk and a very luxurious appearance.
The dense, tightly-packed wool so fine makes these carpets heavy and their floor-holding is excellent, they are heavy-duty carpets.

This carpet has been professionally and ecologically cleaned.
