The painting in question represents a hill landscape with a dog with a white and brown coat in the foreground, lying on a lawn. The work is of English origin and it is possible to date it to the middle of the 19th century, around 1850, while the frame is posthumous.
The state of conservation is good, the painting has recently undergone a cleaning operation.
The measurements of the work are 66cm x 46cm, while the overall dimensions with the frame are 88cm x 69cm.
