Model 804 Desk With Writing Surface, Frattini For Bernini, 1960s
Desk with pull-out writing surface, model 804, designed by Gianfranco Frattini for Bernini in the 1960s.
The piece features a wooden frame with a pull-out writing surface covered in black leather and an integrated sliding shutter. The interior is organized with small drawers and storage compartments, while the front consists of ten drawers with recessed metal handles. Model 804 is designed as a convertible writing desk: opening the top simultaneously activates the sliding panel, revealing the internal work area. The structure rests on four wooden legs and is topped with glass shelves. The back is finished, allowing it to be placed in the center of a room, as it features four additional open storage spaces.
The dimensions of the piece are: 100 cm in width, 65 cm in depth, and 79 cm in height. The maximum depth, when the writing desk is extended, is 106 cm. The seat height is 64 cm.
The condition is very good. It shows some signs of wear consistent with its age and use.
