Exceptional icon of Christ Pantocrator made in Moscow in 1911 by one of the most famous icon workshops of the early 20th century (called "First Moscow Workshop"). In Russian "первая московсская артелъ".
This workshop supplied the imperial court of the Romanov as well as the Russian upper aristocracy and upper bourgeoisie.
His creations were of incredible finesse and were the showcase of the highest know-how of the time.
On this icon, Christ blesses with the right hand and holds the Bible with the left.
The icon is enriched with a splendid gilded silver cover (called okald in Russian) very finely chiseled.
The halo of Christ is finely enamelled in different colors.
The icon is presented in its original glazed wooden box.
On the back of the icon, a dedication in Russian is inscribed on a silver plaque.
