"Côte Bretonne", Oil on Canvas circa 1910, signed lower right, restorations, format 90 x 55 cm Jean HUBERT-GAUTIER, born in 1872 in Mondieu in the Lot et Garonne, was a pupil of Maignan and became a teacher at Beaux- Arts de Bordeaux, regular exhibitor at the Salon in Paris. He was particularly fond of peasants, Bretons at the market and other regional scenes as well as landscapes of the Breton coasts.
