Size with old frame to be reviewed 43 x 54 cm, panel 32 x 44.5 cm Louis Georges Brillouin, born on April 23, 1817 in Saint-Jean-d'Angély and died on November 22, 1893 in Saint-Martin-lès-Melle, is a French painter. A student of Martin Drölling and Louis-Nicolas Cabat, he exhibited at the Salon from 1843 to 1893. He also exhibited four genre scenes at the Brussels Salon of 1866: Gambling Scene, The Gazette, Hunting Rendezvous and The Card Game, for which he won a gold medal. He won a third medal in Paris in 1874. He was a member and reporting secretary of the committee of the Association of Painters.
