SPOON depicting a COUPLE
Probably from the Netherlands, 18th century
Silver and shell
H. 15.4; Wt: 5.7; Thickness: 1.2 cm
Silver spoon with oval spoon in polished shell. The twisted and openwork handle features two intertwined branches with docked dolphins. It ends with a half-humped couple resting on a base animated by a snake. So, it would probably be Adam and Eve.
