Gouache animated by characters in a landscape with ancient ruins. The whole is in very good condition, very colorful with a predominance of blue, as is often the case with gouaches from the end of the 18th century, with many characters spread over the entire landscape. The gouache is framed by a gilded wooden stick and protected by period bubble glass. A note: some small chips at the frame. Signed HR and dated 1780.
