One of his most famous works, a bronze monument dating from 1919 of the nationalist Guglielmo Oberdan, can be found in Florence on the square of the same name. In 1935, he emigrated to France to escape the fascist regime of Mussolini. He lived in Paris as a political refugee and continued to create there until his death in 1960.
