Upon the death of his father, Clément initially joined forces with his brother Delphin Massier to finally create his own factory in 1883 outside Vallauris. Its establishment in Golfe-Juan, on the road connecting Monaco, Nice and Cannes will enable it to reach wealthy and cosmopolitan tourism and to benefit from the proximity of the railway to ship its manufactured products.
