Two plates of Christpher Dresser. One in Persian style, the other in Japan style. "Old Hall" factory. Late 19th century. Characteristic of the aesthetic movement that raged in England at the end of the 19th century. A deep plate in the same "Persian motif" can be found in the collection of the Brooklyn Museum. 1 flat (Persian), 1 hollow (Japan).
