Art Deco Vase Aluminia Royal Copenhagen
Rare ovoid Aluminia vase from the Royal Copenhagen factory, "Solbjerg" series. In earthenware with a stylized plant decoration in bas-relief covered with satin brown enamels. 1930s.

About ... Aluminia
The Aluminia company was founded in 1862 by August Schiøttt (1834 - 1863). In 1868 the company moved to Frederiksberg. In 1882 she joined the Royal porcelain factory in Copenhagen. Production becomes industrial. The period 1901 - 1928 was a period of great success under the leadership of Chr. Joachim (1870-1943) and Harald Slott-Møller (1864-1937). Later, Nils Thorsson made the reputation of this factory from 1928 to 1969. It was at this date that it became the pottery "Royal Copenhagen".
