A Marugata Iron Tsuba With Dragon Design
An ironmarugatatsuba (sword guard of round shape) with decoration on one side of a dragon engraved in low relief with eyes inlaid with brass and stylized waves engraved on the other side. Two holes are drilled in the tsuba, the kogaï hitsu ana and the kizuka hitsu ana, used to introduce the top of the handles of the kogaï and kozuka, when the sword is in its scabbard.
