Pair of carved bamboos forming brush holder Japan - Period MEIJI (1868 - 1912) Finely carved decorations in relief and lacquered in hira maki-e lacquer gold and red. Gold lacquer signature of Yumin and a monogram engraved in the decoration, written inscriptions in ink under each of the bases. Note some small slits and a missing background. Dimensions: 19.5 cm high X 13 cm in diameter.
