Chinese Lacquer Slope Desk
Napoleon III veneer desk in vermillion red and gold lacquer with an elegant curved shape, all sides in a Louis XV register animated with a rich Chinese chinoiserie decoration depicting lake landscapes, palaces, pagodas , boats, the rhythmic ensemble of characters and dignitaries participating in traditional scenes of life surrounded by lush vegetation. The facade opens with an eventful flap revealing an interior architecturally mahogany veneer consisting of a row of drawers, a secret storage and a writing desk covered with a Moroccan decorated with small golden irons. Arched base enriched with falls and clogs in finely chiseled bronze and gold. Furniture proposed in a very satisfactory state of preservation, dimensions: 90 cm high X 70 cm long X 40 deep.
