Elegant rocaille style side table from the 19th century, stamped twice by the house "Escalier de Cristal à Paris" presenting a structure in precious wood veneer, with a curved shape on all sides favoring serpentine lines animated by finely chiseled gilded bronzes Louis The two hot iron stamps are located under the base. The Maison Escalier de Cristal is the heir of the great merchant-merchants of the 18th century, Escalier de Cristal was created in 1802 located at the Palais-Royal, Galerie de Valois, famous under the Restoration, in 1819 it bore the title of official supplier to the King and the Crown Furniture Wardrobe, she delivered exceptional furniture for the Duchess of Berry, one of her loyal clients, including a dressing table and an armchair which are today kept at the Louvre Museum. The large number of objects that remain today in the hands of European royal households, manufactured by Escalier de Cristal, attests to the success and reputation of the company.
