"Bear Scholar, Bronze Statuette."
Representation of a scholarly bear, carrying a box and presenting his hat. Bronze patina silver and gold, produced in the late nineteenth century, set on a black marble base molded. Original subject whose original function most probably relates to the world of tobacco. Signed on the base: ANQUETIN, some works of this animal sculptor appear on sale. Beautiful carving, some gaps on the base, wear of the gilding. Bronze height without the marble base: 12 cm.
