Exceptionnal pair of mahogany armchairs, late Directoire or early Consulate period, circa 1798. attributed to Jacob Frères.Our seats are said "back from Egypt style" with pharahos heads and a pattern very close to the seats of Juliette Recamier exhibited at Louvre Museum.
Our seats were fully restored : new varnish, seat made as new in a traditionnal way, covered with antique silk and decoration (those materials are close to 100 years old but were never used before)
spectacular set, very rare and in excellent condition
