Attributed To Jacob, Pair Of Directoire Period Armchairs
Exceptionnal pair of mahogany armchairs, late Directoire or early Consulate period, circa 1798. attributed to Jacob Frères.
Our seats are said "back from Egypt style" with pharahos heads and a pattern very close to the seats of Juliette Recamier exhibited at Louvre Museum.
Our seats were fully restored : new varnish, seat made as new in a traditionnal way, covered with antique silk and decoration (those materials are close to 100 years old but were never used before)
spectacular set, very rare and in excellent condition
