Pair Of 19th-century Mahogany Empire-style Armchairs
Pair of Empire-style mahogany armchairs – 19th century
A beautiful pair of Empire-style armchairs, crafted from mahogany, featuring the elegant design characteristic of the early 19th century.
The armchairs rest on straight front legs and slightly sabre-shaped rear legs. The particularly elegant armrests curve gracefully and join the front posts, which are adorned with bronze rosettes.
The rectangular backrests are decorated at the top with small bronze pieces featuring palmette motifs, typical of the Empire decorative repertoire.
The seats and backs are upholstered in beautiful yellow leather, creating a particularly striking contrast with the warm hue of the mahogany. The upholstery is accented with brass studs.
A decorative, elegant, and comfortable pair that retains all the character of French furniture from the Empire period.
