Round Chinese Porcelain Cricket Box, Oxblood Red, Qing Dynasty, 19th Century
Round cricket box made of Chinese porcelain in a blood-red color, with an antique dealer’s label reading “Antique China—Over 100 Years Old,” likely from the late Qing Dynasty in the 19th century.
This box is in good overall condition. It was originally embellished with gilded decorations (visible on the edges); the gilding has worn away and is now faded due to the passage of time.
Please note: a tiny chip on the rim (see red arrow), wear on the gilding, and slight chipping of the enamel; see photos.
