Here is a beautiful, full-sized carved wooden chamois in the style known as “Black Forest.” It originates from Switzerland, more specifically from Brientz, where craftsmen specialized in this type of object and where large workshops of woodcarvers were found in the 19th century. Crafted from stained linden wood, this chamois features two eyes made of sulfide glass and dates from the late 19th century.
