Rare pair of saints (the woman is believed to be Saint Catherine) in carved, painted, and gilded poplar wood. Probably from Valsesia, certainly Piedmont. Height 19 cm. Beautiful patina, original polychrome, visible signs of wear and small losses, consistent with the period. Extremely rare and fascinating objects.
